Action Required: Email to Case Premium Upgrade to patch version 6.46.2


A patch version of Email to Case Premium (6.46.2) is now available on the AppExchange, which will be pushed to all customers to correct an issue discovered in the 6.47 build.


During updates made to version 6.47, our team removed a Visualforce Page and its associated Apex Controller from the package as it has not been in use for several years.

When deleting something from a packaging Org, the next version upgrade will delete that component from a Subscriber Org. However, due to a Salesforce restriction, Visualforce Pages cannot be automatically deleted; instead, they are made available for deletion by the Subscriber after the upgrade.

This restriction results in a dependency between the Visualforce Page and the deleted Apex Controller, preventing a successful upgrade from version 6.46 to 6.47.

The patch version of Email to Case Premium (6.46.2) reinstates the Visualforce Page and Apex Controller back into the package to overcome this Salesforce restriction. Once Subscribers have upgraded to version 6.46.2, they will be able to successfully upgrade to newer versions of Email to Case Premium in the future without interference. We will perform a push upgrading Email to Case Premium to all customers on the following schedule:

Sandbox: 1 AM EST Thursday, February 18th
Production: 1 AM EST Thursday, February 25th
