Case Merge Premium Release Notes 3.62 - 3.73

What's New

  • Users can now edit field values on the the Master (parent) case before completing a merge. [Change 00171585] (3.67)
    • Field values can be selected from other cases involved in the merge, or overridden to a completely new value.


  • The Merge with Recent Case option will no longer include cases which have already been merged. [Change 00177953] (3.68)
  • Files associated with Email Messages will now display in the Files related list in Lightning once merged to the Master case. [Change 00178861] (3.71)

Bugs Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where a merged case would find it's master case as a duplicate. [Change 00171775] (3.62)
  • Resolved a bug where having all Case record types disabled would result in the following error when attempting to merge case:
System.QueryException: No such column 'RecordTypeId' on entity 'Case'. If you are attempting to use a custom field, be sure to append the '__c' after the custom field name. Please reference your WSDL or the describe call for the appropriate names. [Change 00172818] (3.62)
  • Added logic to prevent topics from being created when adding child Case Descriptions to the master Case as a Chatter post to avoid the following error:

  • Fixed issue in Lightning Experience where "Search By Text" would display results in a drop down that was too small to read any of the results. [Change 00173959] (3.63)
  • Fixed issue in Lighting Console where the tab for the parent case does not refresh after a merge. [Change 00173831] (3.63)
  • Performing a merge from the navigation tab in the lightning console will now correctly close the tab and redirect you to the master Case. [Change 00174647] (3.64)
  • Resolved an issue where the lightning component would occasionally display a too many SOQL queries error when attempting to refresh after a Case update. [Change 00174423] (3.64)
  • Resolved an issue in console where clicking the "Cancel" button on the merge page when coming from the Case Merge Premium "Merge" list view button would do nothing. [Change 00176568] (3.67)
  • Fixed issue where field level security wasn't respected on the merge screens, leading to additional issues such as infinite loading spinners. [Change 00178955] (3.71)
  • Fixed issue in Lightning Console that would prevent the merge page from loading the master case record page if the user merged cases from the "Case Merge Premium" navigation tab. [Change 00180006] (3.72)
  • Fixed an issue where merging cases from the "Merge" button on Case List Views would not return users to the list view upon completion of the merge. [Change 00180305] (3.72)
  • Fixed an issue where removing cases would still count against the case limit and prevent a merge. [Change 00178091] (3.73)
  • Fixed an issue in Lightning Console where the "Find" page would not refresh if the merge began from the "Case Merge Premium" navigation tab. [Change 00180435] (3.73)
